I removed the microwave from under counter. Removed three sided cabinet enclosure. In back of the keypad there are two access panels remove them. Discharge the capacitor. Remove the cowling just above the fan. Note i bent the flange up to get the cowling out do it gently and then bend it back when reinstalling. I used a quarter inch drive socket wrench with a quarter inch socket with a torques tip to remove the four screws holding the magnetron in place. Drop magnetron straight down then tilt it came out pretty EZ. If you test the new magnetron before putting it back together, access panels must be on to allow proper fan cooling of the magnetron while testing, otherwise it will go out on high temperature. Reverse sequence described above. The job took me approximately one hour it was a little tight and a little bit more time-consuming than I had first anticipated.
