First; The part was ordered on Thursday and I received it on Friday! The kit was the correct one and complete with everything needed. (Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW – APV4373103 tub seal kit & bearing) Great Service ! I will certainly recommend you guys ! Some of the things I encountered installing the tub-seal on a machine that is 15 years old: Be prepared to do considerable cleaning of the tub cover, tub assy and outer tub. The 4 tub assy bolts were very rusted to the point the ½ inch socket would spin. I was able to use a 12mm 6-point socket to remove them with the help of a battery-powered impact wrench. This required a trip to the hardware store for new bolts. (It would have been nice to have 4 new replacement bolts included in the kit) With the four hold-down bolts removed, I was not able to remove the stuck-in-place tub assy. I ended up using a hair dryer to warm up the gasket area and was able to un-stick the tub assy. Because of the age of the machine, the wash tub hub was really struck and the pipe wrench and hammer method simply would not transfer enough torque to break it loose. I removed the old shaft seal and sprayed WD40 down the shaft. Still no luck because the drive belt was also absorbing the energy from the hammer blows and allowed the entire transmission and hub to rebound. I prevented the transmission assy from rotating by using a chain wrench around the transmission casting and hammered directly on the stuck hub. This took considerable time, but eventually the hub screwed off. One other tip; tape the suspension spring wire eyelets in place to speed up the reinstallation of the springs. (Especially the ones in back that are hard to see) The entire project was not particularly difficult but took most of Saturday. I got a rave review from my wife and the washer now runs like a new machine! Woo Hoo !
