First replaced the thermal fuse. No dice. Then replaced the control panel. Success. Both parts purchased here at APP. I had available to me the service technician's tech sheet labelled W10142800B. It had steps to go through to determine if it was the "keypad" or the "control" - Maytag's terms. APP has what they call the control panel. I'm guessing the control panel is another term for the keypad. This is based on my following the diagnostics in the tech sheet and that pointing to the keypad, along with the fact that replacing what APP calls the control panel fixed the dishwasher.
