Old Maytag DE412
Removed the two screws from the bottom of the front panel. Removed the front panel. Removed wiring to the door switch. Removed four screws holding the front bulk head.
Blower wheel should not be loose or rattle when touched or turned.
Removed six screws (blower wheel panel) with one screwed into the bottom of the unit. Note: may need to clean around the wiring to see it. Removed the front plate covering the blower wheel. Used pliers to remove the bracket on the center of the wheel. Their was also another smaller bracket directly on the shaft preventing the blower wheel removal. The bracket had two tiny holes(found after cleaning), to help with removal. I didn't have the proper tool so I used cuticle scissors as a substitute... with a bit of difficulty.
Replaced the blower wheel and reassembled. All fixed.
Now the dryer is quiet as a kitten.
