Replaced the worm gear and the attaching gear. The worm gear was stripped the other gear showed wear also. If I had not replaced both gears, the new gear would have accelerated wear due to a mismatch of a good gear with a worn gear. I also noticed that the grease was thicker and less harmful if ingested than regular grease. The only tools required was a #2 phillips screwdriver and C-ring pliers. It was an easy fix.
