Swapping this part out was a breeze. Popped the plastic cover off and unscrewed two screws. The unit itself is very modular so it's plug&play. Previously, there was an ever-persistent 'grinding' noise coming from it, which escalated into extremely loud 'knocks' that you could actually *feel* through the plastic shield. Now it's dead quiet!
