Larry H Lambertville , NJ December 02, 2019 Appliance: Model LG WM2688HNW Very noisy on spin cycle suspected worn out bearings It's a long story. I suspected the bearings and ordered new ones along with a new seal and a tub gasket. The video was very helpful in providing the correct order to dismantle the washer. Upon disassembly (you have to take the entire washer apart) I found that the large bearing failed because the seal leaked. Worse than that, the shaft off of the spider was corroded and it would immediately ruin the new seal. So I immediately ordered a new spider unit. Then in trying to remove the spider from the tub, 5 out of 6 bolts spun...the threaded inserts in the tub arms were stripped in their plastic housings. I called back and ordered the tub assembly, canceling the spider. APP was very helpful in making sure I got the correct part overnight and credit for the spider. I re-assembled the washer and everything works beautifully, as smooth as a brand new one. It went perfectly for me, but it is not a job for those who aren't very mechanical.
