1. Had to remove microwave from insert and outer enclosure to access the switch because the enclosure would not permit the control panel to be released from the microwave. 2. Once the enclosure was removed, the panel was released for easy removal. Note: Two screws holding back of enclosure had to be slotted before removing. BEWARE: this exposes live electrical components. 3. Once the touch pad (green pad) was exposed, had problem removing all of the pad. Part of pad had to be scraped off before attaching the new pad. 4. Installed switch parts and reassembled. New switch works great.
