The oven started making the gas igniting sound over and over again, even while reaching the baking temperature. Still able to bake while operating this way. Tried the self-clean mode, and operated better briefly, with no permanent change. Eventually, it would not heat up. Bake was turned on, oven stayed at 150F degrees for longer than normal. Smelled gas when opened door and no sound of flame. Removed heat shield to confirm what was happening. The oven would ignite but the flame was low. When the door opened the flame would extinguish. I was hoping it was an ignitor, not a valve. The new ignitor resolved this and operates normally when the bake temp is reached. One issue was a seized screw, cut a slot for the flathead screwdriver after it was stripped to replace the ignitor.
