I just ordered and installed the icing kit from Appliance Part pros. The instructions provided with the icing kit are complete and accurate, but do not inspire much confidence in the non-professional. Specifically, there are few illustrations to guide the non-professional. Fortunately, if you have enough confidence to use a screw driver and enough patience to read and re-read the instructions, it is fairly simple job. My confidence level was increased by using an iPhone to take pictures throughout the project to make sure I knew how things looked before I took them apart. The hardest part of the job is working in tight spaces. Also, while the icing kit focuses on replacing the heating pan, the kit comes with other insulating material which should generally improve the function of the freezer - so you get more than what you think you may be paying for. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with the same problem - even if you are a non-professional.
