Full disassembly of removable tray into top plate (stainless) and lower pan taking care not to loose fasteners. Removal of terminal blocks using lubrication on rusted screws and, if necessary, drill out technique. Unclip wires from edges of the tray on both sides without losing the clips for future re-use. Top plate is now completely free of connections and may be cleaned/scrubbed separately in advance of re-assembly.
Unfasten spade insulation block (located in the front of the tray) after noting wiring arrangement. Unfasten wires to spades. Remove burned spades. Rewire spades. Replace spades into insulation block making sure orientation of screws is correct and spades are properly isolated from surroundings. Return block assembly into the bottom of the tray and fasten with screw.
Prepare wiring routing for both new terminal blocks to the front and back burners, bending wires in anticipation of the fastening of the terminal block into each of the burner trays. Attach Twist and electrical nut (use larger size than provided) after sliding heat shrink insulation tubing (not provided). Activate heat shrink insulation with heat gun. Re-clip the reattached wires to the edges of the tray noting that the electrical nuts must avoid interference with clips, top plate and screws when assembled.
Loosely install terminal block into each of the burner tray edges, bending the secondary tab if it is in the way. Once fixed, bend wires to route without interference. Firmly fix the terminal blocks. Trial fit top plate to bottom tray making sure fastener holes align. Loosely install fasteners - sides first then front and back. Tighten fasteners making sure that top plate is evenly secured to the lower tray.
