I noticed the pulsator assembly has a metal gear attached/fixed under it in the middle circle. When I had the problem, this metal gear was loose from the pulsator assembly and no longer attached. So, I purchased the pulsator assembly and screwed it in place. I have ran the washer for more than 10 cycles and the new pulsator assembly is staying in place.
