Firstly, I love AppliancePartsPros.com. They have saved me hundreds of dollars by allowing me to make my own appliance repairs. Today's problem was my Power Boil radiant element had burned out and needed to be replaced. I easily found the correct part on the Appliance web site, along with a link to the YouTube video which showed me how to replace it. The part arrive the next day after placing my order and I had it installed in 15 minutes. All is well and my wife and I are very happy with the repair. In the old days, before AppliancePartsPros, I would have called a service person and had the entire stove top replaced which would have costed many additional dollars.
The repair itself was just removing two screws on the bottom front of the stove top. The pivoting it up and propping it with a piece of wood. The burner had five slip on wires that I swapped and installed on the new burner. Then all that was necessary was to unclip the old burner and pop in the new one. That was it! Nothing to it.
