Being it is somewhat difficult to remove outer trim peace I decided to order the microswitch on the assumption it had failed. When the switch arrived I removed the outer trim cover and discovered the swing arm the trips the microswitch had jumped out of its track and no longer struck the switch. The spring loaded ice chute dispensing door had also jumped out of its track, I ordered a replacement door hinge pin and retaining nut,reassembled all components and all seems to be working well. Only problem it is difficult to near impossible to put the retaining nut on the door hinge pin in the space available.
