Ordered a thermistor kit. Now this thermistor was replaced on 7.20.2024. Sadly it failed in a short time. Also this unit was purchased new in 2004. A week before the 5 year compressor warranty was due to expire the compressor quit. Warranty service was done. Also for unknown reasons the repair tech decided to place a plastic wedge in the damper door to keep it at a certain opening. The temperature did fluctuate a bit but I left it as he did it. So when the thermistor failed a few weeks ago I decided to replace the damper door along with the thermistor. Easy straightforward job. Watching Simon on the repair videos helps. The same with my washer/dryer/neighbors machines. I enjoy doing the repairs. I recommend all those in need to APP.
One thing I learned repairing my own appliances. The panels/covers etc mainly snap together. Use gentle force to pry the plastic. Take your time. ohh, pricing is very fair on OEM parts. I learned the hard way . Buy OEM parts if you intend to keep the machine.
