I ordered a hinge kit and my son replaced the hinge as well as some of the plastic parts that attach to it. Now the refrigerator door closes nicely with that pleasant "thunk" that lets me know it's really shut. The door is also level now. It was about one inch lower than the freezer door.
My grandson used to hang on the door when he opened it and I think he is the reason why the door was messed up, but the hinge kit did the trick.
