Called ap parts pros and spoke to a helpful associate who found the correct part(s) and also looked online for similar problems that others had. I then ordered the part and it arrived quickly.
I proceeded to pop out the old unit in the top of the fridge using the screw driver to gently push in and up slightly to remove the unit. Detached the wire connectors carefully and replaced it with the new unit snapping into place. Be careful reattaching the wire connectors.
Bingo, the lights were on and bright and steady.
