Tested the capacitor by removing and using a jumper wire to test, the refrigerator started, but didn't cool. So I put a new capacitor in, then I tested the defrost timer and reset it by moving it forward half a turn with a screwdriver the timer reset and it has been working ever since. Also, I checked the thermostat in the freezer and the main body of the refrigerator they all tested satisfactorily with proper voltage output. Total time 1.5 hours and only the cost of the capacitor to get it back working.
