Control board went bad and had to be replaced but the real problem was the evaporator fan located in freezer. Once that was replaced everything back to normal. I had a tech diagnose this. There was no power to the fan but it would work again when freezer was warm. A small winding wire was obviously broken and would contract when cold, cutting off power to fan but when warmed made enough of a connection to work. The moral of this story is simple. Check for power to the fan. I could have simulated this using the test functions of the control board. I learn something every day. I think I somehow fried the control board. Appliance Parts Pros got me the part in one day!
