Daniel D Canton , GA January 23, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS265TDRS/XAA Samsung Refrigerator Rs265tdrs/Xaa / : Samsung rs265tdrs freezer working fine / refrigerator not cooling and freezing up on evaporator coil. How to replace Main Power Control Board. Checked You Tube for solutions and found many different possible solutions. Then I spoke with a local appliance repair man that was familiar with Samsung problems and he recommended replacing the main assembly board. That is what controls the heater element on the evaporator coil. He also told me that he used, Appliance Parts Pro for parts that he needs and was very satisfied with them. Simple to find online and I requested next day shipping which is what I got and it took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to unplug all connections from old board and place on new board. This was quite simple as long as you use a little common sense. Plugged power cord in and everything seems to be working fine, though it is only 3 days now. Time will tell the whole results. This is a whole lot cheaper than replacing a side by side but I am still disappointed in Samsung because the unit is only 4 1/2 years old. I would not recommend Samsung Refrigerators to anyone and after checking the internet, I found multiple of complaints about Samsung. Consumer Reports must get a kick-back from Samsung with how high they value Samsung and what happens in real life. I bought this one on what Consumer Reports stated and really question why now. 51 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
