First I took the bottom peice off the front of the washer to be able to see where the leak was coming from. We were able to use the washer while it was leaking so I knew the problem wasn't coming from the basket. The bottom pan had about a half inch of water sitting in it. I cleaned that up and then was able to see the drip coming from the top back left corner. I proceeded to take the top panle of the washer off. I turned off the water and took the hoses off thinking I could just clean out the ariators inside the valve. They had a ton of rust in them from my old steel pipes. I put it back together and it was still leaking. I finally saw that the water was coming out from in between the white plastic piece and the grey electrical piece of the 2 in 3 out valve. I decided then to order the part. I was a little shocked how expensive the part was because my washer is only 4 years old. I installed the new part the day it came and was happy to be able to do laundary again after a week.... It was rather easy to take apart and install. The shipping time was very quick as well so I thank Appliance Parts for that! Michelle Purvis Portland, OR
