How to replace Water Inlet Valve. Put in a new motor and new inlet valve. Thankfully, I have a friend that is in the business of washing machine repair and he was able to replace the existing motor as well as the inlet valve (which was 25 years old by the way) in about an hour. Seemed like an easy fix to me! But it would have taken me all day!! The machine runs again, like a champ (as well as being much quieter!) and I did about 6 loads of overdue laundry with no problems!
