I have a ten year old Whirlpool Duet dryer that started making horrible squeaking noises throughout each cycle.
I spent about 10 minutes watching YouTube videos and the most likely issue was the idler pulley.
Bought a replacement and installed it myself. Very simple and completely fixed the issue.
