James C Waterford , CT November 14, 2022 The thumping sound associated with dryer rotation.. Found that the dryer drum was splitting along the seam and had developed a crack perpendicular to the seam. Found the crack by shining a light on the dryer shell while spinning the drum. Ordered and replaced the drum. While I had the dryer apart I also replaced the drum support rollers, belt tensioner, and belt. The dryer runs like it was brand new.
