Turned off the power to the oven. Removed the oven door. Unscrewed the element, and pulled it right out. Gave the top of the oven a good cleaning, and put the new element right back in. Replaced the oven door. Turned the power back on. Let the broiler heat up on low for about 20 minutes, to burn off the new smell. Good as new.
