Since bottom light was working, most likely not a door switch problem. I decided to change the sockets. Removed the light shield, removed the two screws where the sockets are attached, let it drop so you can see the exposed wire connectors to the sockets, removed connectors, pop out the sockets, then put the new sockets in.
