We thought the repair looked difficult so we priced and compared new machines. Honestly found nothing I wanted for even over 1K. We bought the top rack adjuster kit, redesigned by Whirlpool for those and for Kenmore. The video offered by appliance parts pros was helpful. His removal of the old parts was for a Whirlpool I think because my husband just ripped the old plastic pieces off. The installation of the adjuster kit went easily. The included sheet with blurred photos and instructions was no help at all but after watching the video 3 times, hubby put the parts together confidently. The second side went very fast. We had to buy a Torx screwdriver set from Advanced Auto Parts for $8, but we had a flat blade screwdriver. A Torx 15 is necessary as he says in the video. I slid the top rack into my old machine smoothly and all parts fit perfectly. Great job. I have what works like a brand new dishwasher!
