How to replace Lip Seal Kit. The disassembly and remove of the tub and bearings was the easy part. Getting the bearings pressed back in was challenging and required considerable effort. After the bearings were properly seated it was a simple task to reassemble the machine. I was not pleased how the part at the base of the tub that actually seats inside the seal fit on the shaft. An "O" ring was provided to effect a water proof barrier that appeared to be too big to allow this part to fit flat against the base of the tub shaft. When I replaced the pulley, there appeared to be more drag on the tub than I cared for. After running a few loads of laundry the drag seemed to increase. I removed the tub and seal insert from the shaft. I chucked the seal insert in my metal lathe and completely removed the flange that would not seat on the base of the shaft. I reinstalled the seal insert onto the shaft over a layer of RTV to effect a water tight seal with the shaft. After reinstalling the tub, I was then able to tighten the drive pulley completely and the tub spun freely. The machine is back in service and performing flawlessly.
