After I removed the upper agitator I found the dogs were worn which was probably the problem. But I got carried away and took the rest of the machine apart to see how it worked and to see if anything else needed replacing. Discovered the clutch lining was worn. Everything else looked ok.
Ordered the agitator dogs and clutch lining on Sunday and the parts arrived early the following Tuesday. Amazing service!
I thought I could remember how everything went back together. At 79 years old, however, I find my memory isn't as sharp as it use to be. The videos are excellent and if not for them the machine would be on it's way to the dump. The machine hums like a new product. I can hardly wait for my next appliance repair. Hmm. I think my dishwasher is making a funny noise.
