Followed video instructions. Need to see if truly fixed and trustworthy after a few more monitored wash days. Was surprised that the wash machine does not have a safety mechanism to prevent overflows.
The hassle with the job was moving the dryer out of the way to move the wash machine to where there was enough room to disassemble the washer.
