How to replace Bearing. First I replaced the two belts because they were very worn. This did not fix the issue. Next I proceeded with removing the belts, pulley system and ultimately the brake assembly and bearing. I ordered a brake removal tool (P/N: 038315) separately for removing the brake assembly. I used some rust penetrating oil on the brake assembly threads and let it sit for a while. Use of the tool and removing the brake was the most labor intensive part. Some outward pressure needed to be placed on the assembly and threads while holding the transmission. This would have saved 10 minutes of spinning without unthreading. The old bearing was rusted to the brake assembly and I couldn't remove it. I cleaned and wirebrushed the area where the bearing goes and applied grease to the bearing. I also cleaned the pulley bearing. I reattached all parts and tested it on spin cycle. Success! The washer will hopefully last another 20 years! If not, I know where to come for my parts.
