Darrell E St. Augustine , FL June 13, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG ENSIGNIA My water inlet valve threads were messed up on the hot side and it leaked When I went to my local appliance store to see if they had this part...the clerk brought one out to the counter in an open box. It was covered with dirt and black smudges. She informed me it was $80 + tax. I thought it was clearly a used part but their system had it listed as "new". I declined and went to your website and quickly found the correct part...available for under $50. I ordered it and it arrived in 3 days. Install was a snap (you just have to remember to mark the electrical spades with the color of the wires on the old one first). One other hint: On my machine it was only one sheet metal screw holding this part and it's metal housing to the washer. So while it was off I connected the new stainless steel water hoses FIRST and then attached the housing/valve combo back to the machine. MUCH easier than trying to do this in the little compartment on the back of the washer. I put your website in my "favorites" for any other appliance parts I might need. Don't pay somebody $200 dollars for something you can do for much less. 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
