When I finally got around to troubleshooting my washer, I found that the drain hose had a small leak in it. As you can see, there is a dark foam sleeve on the hose that is supposed to keep it from rubbing on the washer drum during spin cycles. On the original hose, this sleeve had slipped out of position so friction rubbed a hole in the hose.
Easy fix because the video repair "lesson" was right on the money. I just watched the video; walked over to the washer, and changed out the hose. How easy is that?
