After searching for possible leak causes on the internet I settled on the cause being a faulty valve. Just to be certain, I called Appliance Parts Pros help line and confirmed. I then ordered a replacement valve. I also watched the well-made how-to video on the Appliance Parts Pros web site. The part arrived the next day and I was able to replace the valve in about 10 minutes. Easy-peasy.
