I replaced 2 terminal ends of 2 wires (1-male, 1 female) and spliced. I replaced the start switch with one with a metal stem & a new knob. While inside, replaced the drum belt also. I used my volt-ohm meter to check out all thermostats, relays, etc. to ensure they were not affected by the 2 burned wires. I took pictures with my phone before unhooking the colored wires to both the kill switch inside the dryer door & also, the back of the rotary start switch. This ensured I got everything back into its proper place, before testing out the dryer, after repairs. The dryer works well and dries the clothes in record time now.
