Removed 1- 7/16 bolt, upward jerk, lift out upper agitator,
clean out old soap etc. from drive dog engagement area,
re-assymble with new drive dogs making sure area they sit and engage is clean and dry, put aasy back on lower agitator, clean drivedog cover and o-ring , and smear vasoline or other similar probuct on o-ring, ( my o-ring was a little rough, had no vasoline so used 3-in 1 antibiotic jell, gets the job done , ( if o-ring had been in good condition might have skipped that. I'm 63 now and this is probably the 20th time iv'e made this particular repair on whirlpool-Kenmore machines, ( simple -easy -cheap fix $8 for 4 new dogs ) back in business, ( warned daughter about correct safe maximum clothes loading again ) I'm sure she didn't listen or care.
