Steven K Apex , NC August 10, 2016 Appliance: Electrolux Dishwasher EWDW6505GS0B Error code 01 After having intermittent issues with Error Code 01 on our Electrolux dishwasher for several years - the dishwasher started having the code on a more frequent basis. In addition, it did not seem to be draining correctly, and the pump was not as quiet as when new. Prior to this repair, I pulled out the dishwasher, cleaned the hoses and internal parts, ensured hoses were clamped correctly, etc. Researching past repairs posted online, I noted issues with many components - to the point Electrolux even created a leak repair kit, which addresses the main problem areas of Error Code 01. I took the mentality that I did not want to chase the leak, but wanted to fix everything. I purchased the Electrolux Wash service kit, leak repair kit, and motor/pump. Instructions were provide with the respective kits - repairs were very simple. Taking my time, total repair time was ~2 hours. My only advice to those replacing the motor/pump assembly - especially on aged units, would be to go ahead and purchase the bracket the motor secures to. When I removed the old motor, the mounting points on the bracket were all broken - so I needed to order the bracket to complete the repair. After all repairs were complete, reinstalled the unit and ran like new. As far as service from Appliance Parts Pros - very professional, quick shipping, and correct parts the first time. I've ordered parts for other appliances and always have this feedback - will definitely return for future appliance parts needs. Basically I installed the wash service kit, cleaning out all debris in filter area, and my washer is working fine now, I never had to install new motor & pump. Have begun the return process by getting my RMA...thanks for making the return process so simple!
