Katherine M Seattle , WA December 18, 2018 The gasket between the burner controls and the burner was destroyed When we moved into this house 5 years ago the range had a gap between the burner controls and the burner. Food would fall into it, and it was not possible to keep clean. The repair was easy, and I wonder why I waited so long. I’d recommend turning off the power to the range first because there are exposed electrical connections during the repair. My son and I removed the oven door, and slid the range out. We removed the plastic control knobs from the burner control panel. There is a star screw on each side on the control panel that needs to be removed, and three hex bolts underneath. Once removed, I lifted up the control panel, cleaned (!) it, and attached the new part (it slides onto the burner panel). Reassembled and put it all back.
