Description

The Maintop Glass and Frame Assembly is an OEM component  designed for GE ranges. It consists of tempered glass surrounded by an insulating frame. This assembly serves as the complete cooking surface and protective barrier within the oven. 

Causes of a bad maintop glass and frame assembly can include wear and tears over time, accidental damage from being dropped or impacted, or flaws in the materials. Repeated heating and cooling cycles put stress on the glass and bonding between the glass and frame. 

Symptoms of failure include:
