Michael S Ridgecrest , CA November 20, 2025 Appliance: General Electric Gas Range JGS760SEL2SS The valve stem that the control knob turns was wobbly I wasn't sure if it was the valve or the switch that was broken so I ordered both parts so I would be assured of being able to fix the range the same day I took it apart. It was a much bigger pain getting to the valves than I imagined but I did get it done. Turns out the two tiny screws holding the v@lve together wer backing themselves out and the stem was very loose. I'm surprised it wasn't leaking gas. Anyways I replaced the valve for good measure ev|n though tightening the two screws appeared to fix the valve. Read More...
