Elizabeth V Oxford , MS January 11, 2020 Microwave was shutting off and tripping the breaker when we hit start. We isolated the problem via YouTube videos to a faulty switch. We broke a piece of the switch holder when removing the switch and had to also order that part in addition to a new switch. Once everything was reassembled, the microwave worked again! Lonny C Logandale , NV September 28, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Microwave Hood Combo JVM3160DF2WW Blown fuses and breaker sometimes when door opened. Checked and replaced one of three door interlock switches. Unfortunately I failed to show proper care in removing the faulty switch and broke a latch on the bracket that holds the switches, so I had to buy one of those as well. After replacing the faulty parts, I accidently reversed one of the plugs that I had to disconnect and the unit would power the lights and buttons, but not the heater. Upon correcting my oversight (carefully document with pictures when disassembling) my microwave works again like when new! I have a good microwave again at a fraction of the cost and the parts were exact replicas of what was installed from the factory. The technician with AppliancePartsPros who helped me order the correct parts was very helpful. Gerry K Clarksville , MD March 01, 2021 Appliance: General Electric Microwave Hood Combo JVM3160DF4CC GE over the range microwave oven repeatedly popped circuit breaker. Model: JVM3160DF4CC. Review of several online videos allowed me to test microwave components to determine tripping breaker was caused by a door switch that had gone bad; apparently a frequently occurring problem after several years of use. In the process of necking down the problem to the microwave (and not the house circuit), I tested the oven on a different circuit with a less sensitive breaker and blew the fuse in the oven. Both problems were easy to fix. Have relied on APP for parts for this and repairs to dishwasher, dryer, other microwave oven, oven. Over years I have repeatedly purchased from APP. I shop around for parts and eventually come back to them for competitive price, excellent phone support for purchasing, confidence in info on website.
