Asa N Seneca , SC November 14, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSS25QGMCWW Ice door assembly was not closing and hot air was getting into freezer and causing thawing I ordered a new ice door assembly& spring along with a new ice dispenser solenoid. I also ordered a new tube form assembly to replace the water spout. received all part within 2 days. watched the video and repairs went exactly as described, no problem except the tube assembly. When installing the tube assembly you have to take the inside panel off the door in order to get to the spout, but no problem installed the tube and everything works perfect. Read More... George S Charlotte , NC August 22, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSS22JEMDBB Not cooling and water leaks front and back the water was going everywhere except the ice tray. The repair videos were VERY helpful. Took off the inside freezer panel and defrosted the coils. the frig worked great while I waited for the parts to be delivered. Next replaced the defrost element and thermostat. Replaced the waterline to the Icemaker. It was as easy as the videos showed. Could not get the water line out of the door and the part did not look the same. So I called the helpline. Found out I needed to remove the freezer door inside panel. Did so and replace the line. (tip: I put a small hole in the end of the water line tubing and tied fishing line through the hole to pull the tube through the door) Put in the water reservoir, and replaced the flapper to the Ice dispenser very easy. Over all the hardest part was the water dispenser as I had to remove the freezer door panel and carefully make sure the seal was seated when re assembling. I used a drill for taking out and replacing all the screws and this made all the difference. Read More...
