Description

The recoil starter assembly is used to crank-start the engine on lawn and garden equipment. This housing contains a starter pulley and spring, the starter rope and grip. When the starter rope is pulled using the grip, the pulley activates the spring, which retracts and starts the engine with the help of the flywheel. It may be time to replace your recoil starter if there are issues getting the engine started with the pull rope. If the starter rope is stretched out or the starter itself is seized up due to age or wear, it may be easier to replace the entire unit than to try to fix just one component. This recoil starter is compatible with lawnmower engines and pressure washers from Briggs & Stratton, Honda, and Toro. This starter is sold as a single unit.
