Marjorie February 27, 2018 for Model Number EIFL555IIWO The tip of the striker which is in the door of the electrolux washer broke off. We removed the black part which holds the silver striker and the two screws holding it in, but it does not come out. It seems there is a silver type straight piece holding it in and no way to reach it to remove it.

1 Answer Paul, The door strike would have to be bent, broken or damaged, to keep the washer from running. Also check to see that the door assembly is aligned to the front panel and the strike is aligned with the opening for the door lock. The more likely problem is the door lock itself 134629900 / 134629900 Door Lock. Since there is no error code(s) we would have to think it's an internal lock failure.
