Hello Bob, thank you for contacting APP, This sounds like an issue with either the Control Board 316443911 or the wiring between the control and the element. If you think it may be the element itself you can disconnect the unit from power, disconnect the harness from the element, and test on the terminals of the element for Os resistance with a multimeter. The element should read between 10O and 40O.

Ken, It would be recommended to check the oven sensor for a resistance at room temperature of 1080 ohms. Then at 350 degrees of 1654 ohms. If the resistance is good then this will be a faulty control board and if there is not good resistance then this will be a faulty sensor that will need to be replaced.

Justin, 326B1230P002 is not a model number, it's most likely the part number for the "tag" you were looking at. Sears/Kenmore model numbers are usually an 11 digit number (123.45678901). You can usually find the model and serial number "tag" on the oven frame, when you open the oven door, without a model number we can't check or verify the correct part needed. The [AP4298966} Bake Element dimensions are approximately 19" X 16"(+/- 1/4") but the important part is the wattage and the number of turns of the bake element, for the proper heat and operation of the oven.
