Randy April 17, 2013 for Model Number FGB2410HIC1 My 3 year old dishwasher completes the cycle in less than half the time and leaves dishes dirty. In one minute I see the timer drops 4 or 5 minutes. Do you think changing the control board will resolve this issue?
1 Answer Hello Randy, This could be either the control or a water heating issue. You should pull the tech sheet from behind the kick panel and run a self-diagnostic cycle and see if any fault codes come up. Read More...
Jeannine M. September 27, 2012 for Model Number FDB2410HIS0 My dishwasher leaves about an inch of water in the bottom after a cycle. Some of the LED display does not show. Will a new control board fix both problems? Instructions on how to install a new control board would be appreciated.
1 Answer Hi Jeanne. Remove the drain hose under the sink connection. Use a screwdriver to insert into the sink "T" and and see if it is clogged there. Then remove the pump drain hose and make sure the pump is not clogged or the impeller is spinning loose on the pump shaft. Pump Part # 5304470276 Usually the sump is clogged and when the top is removed and all the interior is cleaned then the drain will work better. Make sure the drain hose has a loop above the sink connection and is mounted to the back wall then taught into the sink. This creates a p-trap loop to insure all the sink water does not back up into the dishwasher sump. There is a tech sheet in the control board area or the toe kick plate area. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. If the Led does not show this usually means that the control board circuits are bad. Control board part # 5304480587. Thank You. Read More...
