Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Cap (Part Number: OEM18125184)

Hello Martha. The F10 indicates that the control detects a runaway temperature in the oven. If the oven is overheating, this can be caused by a stuck relay or contact on the oven electronic control board. If this fault code appears when the oven is at room temperature, then the failure points to a failed oven temperature sensor probe circuit or a bad electronic oven control board. If you are able to unplug the range and access the oven temperature sensor, you can check the resistance of this component with a volt/ohm meter. At room temperature, most Frigidaire oven temperature sensor probes will measure about 1100 ohms at room temperature. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
