Bruan March 20, 2018 for Model Number EIGD55HIW0 No power at all. I replaced the control board today. There was a noticeable burned spot on the original board. Still no power. Checked incoming 120v to the board and it is supplying voltage to all the correct terminals. Suspecting control panel now also. How do I get the main selector knob removed so I can inspect the circuits in the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Bruan, You should pull the error codes and use the tech sheet to determine the cause of the issue. This is done as follows: 1. Wake the dryer up by pressing any button but “cancel”. 2. Press and hold the “cancel” and “start pause” buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to show the last error code recorded. The error code will appear in the display as an E followed by two numbers. Geoff Darbyshire February 27, 2018 for Model Number EFME617STT0 I think this is the right model. The control knob which pushes onto a plastic spindle on the control panel is broken. The spindle sheared off. There is a number imprinted on the control panel plastic housing of 1349268 Does the control board come in one piece as i seem to see from some drawings that the control Knob and housing is separate? I see under the knob a circluar PCB with the rotary switch in the center carrying the turn spindle. I need to get to a fully working contraol panel but not sure of the parts needed?

Keith R October 16, 2013 for Model Number EIGD55HIW0 My dryer intitally heats up and then shuts off. I have changed the high limit thermo stat, Thermal fuse and all the lines are clear. The problem seems to be that the gas is not blowing after the intital startup.
