This mechanical temperature control thermostat regulates the cabinet temperature by cycling the cooling system on and off. Replacing a worn control restores consistent temperatures and responsive dial adjustments. What it does:

  • Senses internal temperature and opens/closes electrical contacts to control cooling
  • Helps maintain set temperature for proper food storage
  • Common failure symptoms include: too warm or too cold temperatures, erratic temperature swings
  • Other symptoms: unit runs constantly or won't start cooling; dial has little or no effect
What's included:
  • 1 temperature control thermostat
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before service; work with dry hands and proper PPE
  • Photograph wiring and note terminal locations before removal; transfer wires one at a time
  • Route the sensing bulb/capillary exactly as original; do not kink, pinch, or shorten it
  • After installation, set to mid-range and allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize
