1 Answer Hello Jim, The drain pan on this unit should be mounted to the top of the compressor. It should be mounted with a single nut in the center unless the compressor has been changed. If it has been changed, the drain pan is probably attached to the compressor with adhesive, in which case it is not advisable to remove it.
